Product photography covers a wide range of formats - and the right approach depends entirely on where your images will appear and what they need to communicate.
E-commerce and packshots. Clean, white-background images that meet the technical requirements of Amazon, online shops and wholesale catalogues. Consistent angles, colour-accurate output, and files ready to upload without additional processing.
Lifestyle and campaign photography. Products photographed in context - with surfaces, props, and environments that tell a brand story. For social media, advertising and editorial use where the image needs to carry more than just product information.
Catalogue and lookbook photography. High-volume shooting for fashion, homeware and product ranges where consistency across a large set of images matters as much as the individual shot.
Amazon and marketplace content. Images formatted to platform specifications - main image requirements, A+ content, secondary angles, infographic-ready files. We've worked with brands selling across Austrian and European marketplaces and know what the platforms require.

How We Work - Our Process
The quality of a product photo is determined as much by what happens before and after the shoot as on the day itself.
Briefing and concept. Before any shoot we agree on the visual direction: background selection (white, custom colour, textured surface), lighting style (soft diffusion for even coverage, or harder shadows for contrast and depth), and the intended use for each image - e-commerce, print, social, or all three.
Studio setup. We work with controlled studio lighting that allows precise adjustment of shadow, highlight and colour temperature. For packshots, we shoot on a pure white background and calibrate the ISO and white balance for each product category - metal, glass, matte packaging and fabric all require different settings. A fraction of a second of exposure at the wrong setting is the difference between a usable image and one that goes back into Photoshop for an hour.
Shooting day. A half-day session (3–4 hours) covers up to 20 products with 2–3 angles per item. A full day covers up to 40 products. We work through the shoot list efficiently and flag any products that need additional attention before we move on.
Post-production. Every image goes through Adobe Photoshop retouching - background removal, colour correction, exposure balancing and clipping paths where needed. We match colour accurately across product variants (same product, different colours) so your catalogue is consistent. Files are delivered sized and formatted for every channel you've specified: high-resolution TIFF for print, web-optimised JPEG for e-commerce, and square crops for social where needed.
Delivery. Online gallery with download access, typically within 14 working days.

Product photography in Austria typically ranges from €25–80 per image depending on volume and styling complexity. Studio sessions at New Moon Agency start from €500 for a half-day covering up to 20 products. For larger volumes or custom requirements, get in touch for a detailed quote.

For simple packshots on white background, we cover 20–30 products per half-day (3–4 hours). For styled or lifestyle setups with props and set changes, 10–15 products is a realistic full-day output. Volume depends on complexity — we establish this during the briefing and plan the shoot day accordingly.
